Case Study: ICT Hardware Leasing for Public School

ICT Hardware Leasing for Public Educational Institutions in Malaysia

Project Overview

This project involves a lease-to-own ICT hardware service for teaching and learning purposes in computer labs at secondary science schools in Malaysia. The contract spans 60 months, from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2029. Educational institutions require up-to-date ICT infrastructure to support effective teaching and learning. However, budget constraints and rapid technological advancements make outright hardware purchases less viable. A lease-to-own model ensures access to modern technology while providing long-term ownership benefits.

Services Provided

  • ICT Hardware Supply and Installation: Provision of desktops, laptops, and printers with minimum required specifications. Accessories such as monitors, keyboards, and mice (for desktop units). Installation of operating systems and relevant teaching and learning software.
  • Lease-to-Own Model: A five-year leasing contract. Full ownership of the hardware will be transferred to the schools upon lease completion.
  • Maintenance and Technical Support: Regular maintenance throughout the lease period. 24/7 or business-hours technical support. Hardware replacement for irreparable damages within the agreed timeframe. Minimum 95% uptime guarantee each month.
